White Birch Park in Hazelwood, Missouri, is a new aquatic facility, which replaced the city’s existing outdated lap pool. The new aquatic facility, designed by Counsilman-Hunsaker with Capri Pools, has over 16,000 sq. ft. of water. This state-of-the-art, resort-like aquatic park offers many exciting amenities to the community.
Features include:
3,150 sq. ft. Competitive Pool
• 25-yard fitness/lap pool with six lap lanes
7,550 sq. ft. Leisure Pool
• Two waterslides
• ADA-accessible zero-depth entry
• Children’s multi-level play feature with tipping bucket
• 5,300 sq. ft. wave river with elevated rock walls and island
• 360 degree bubble slide
1,300 sq. ft. Wading Pool and Sprayground
• Sprayground with interactive water features adjacent to the wading pool which reaches depths from 0” to 1’6”
The project began in September 2007 and opened in July 2008. By incorporating aquatic features that haven’t been seen in the St. Louis area or even the United States, this facility will be a state-of-the-art park for the community to enjoy for many years to come.
