The City of Rowlett commissioned the aquatics expertise of Counsilman-Hunsaker to design a new community pool that would include a contemporary design and the latest amenities.
The City’s ‘Wet Zone’ meets the community’s programming needs and objectives and features two bodies of water, which include:
• 8,877 SF leisure pool
• Children’s play area with interactive aquatic features
• Zero-beach entry
• Current channel
• Two waterslides
• Fountains, water jets, and other water features
• Floatables
• Separate 2,253 SF five-lane fitness pool
In 2007, this facility won the ‘Best of Aquatics’ award from Aquatics International magazine for the best public waterpark.
