| Description: |
Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa offers a new swimming experience in tune with its desert appeal of breathtaking mountain views and colorful gardens. Rockscaping and palm trees encompass the new Splashtopia in this relaxing retreat filled with the warmth of early California architecture.
Designed by Counsilman-Hunsaker, Splashtopia includes almost two acres of aquatic fun and relaxation for youngsters and adults. Drift away on the 425 foot lazy river with zero-beach entry and expansive sandy beach; slide down a rocky mountain on one of two 100 foot long waterslides amidst boulders and waterfalls; or zip around a unique water-play zone with fountains and sprinklers. A large leisure pool refreshes while a mountainside whirlpool soothes guests after enjoying sight seeing, golf, tennis, shopping, conventions, nightlife, and all that the 240-acre destination has to offer.
October 2007 brought the reopening of the newly upgraded family pool area with the addition of several new aquatic features designed by Counsilman-Hunsaker that include:
•A new 6,000 SF lazy river with zero beach entry onto a sand beach complete with shade structures and amenities. •Two 100-foot long waterslides descending through a rock and landscaped mountain with splash down pool on the island. •Eight-person elevated mountain spa. •Splash pad with interactive water features, cannons, pop jets, and cabañas complete with fans and misters for resort guests.
