Aquatic Operation Services

Sparkling water doesn’t happen by chance; it requires constant monitoring with immediate and appropriate responses as situations arise. When the public walks through the doors of an aquatic facility for the first time, the staff needs to be prepared and familiar with the operation of the specific mechanical system for the facility as well as the basics of water chemistry. As the staff gets more comfortable with operations, they will be more capable of handling the unexpected and achieve the goal of every aquatic operator: to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone.

Launch Operations Training is an opportunity for the operator to work directly with experienced Counsilman-Hunsaker technical trainers. With our 35+ years of experience in operating aquatic centers, we know the complexity of day-to-day requirements of complicated aquatic equipment, handling chemicals and understanding emergency protocol.

We can help you respond to the challenge of opening your aquatic center with knowledge, capability and confidence. Our hands-on expertise (and our established network of operators, equipment and chemical suppliers in the industry) offer unrivaled insights, support and information to you and your staff. Counsilman-Hunsaker will assist you in the prep-phase before opening, as well as being on-site opening day; this service will familiarize you and your staff with the operations of your specific aquatic system.

A Standard Operations Manual Can Be Customized To Your Aquatic Facility. We can help you write a Standard Operations Manual geared specifically to your seasonal or year-round facility. This manual addresses the A-to-Z, step-by-step operational procedures including:

  • Safety and Emergency Procedures
  • Operating Guidelines / Rules and Regulations
  • Operating Procedures
  • Physical Plant / Chemical Precautions
  • Special Events / Pre-season Opening / Season Closing
  • Standard Operating Forms
  • Job Descriptions / Organizational Charts
  • Employee Privileges

Instruction can also certify the pool operators at your facility. Certified Pool-Spa Operator, commonly referred to as CPO, is sponsored by the National Swimming Pool Foundation*. This course has been developed to help aquatic operators understand the complex systems related to swimming pools. On-site instruction by our skilled trainers provides the additional benefit of allowing your staff to focus on your specific operating system during the course.

Brains on Call. Questions and operational issues often surface as the aquatic facility continues in operation. We are prepared to assist operators with ongoing support long after the facility has opened. Our expertise and established network in the industry is just a phone call away. We never abandon you to sink or swim. We are always there ... ready to help in any way!
