| Description: |
In 2003, the City of Cleburne, Texas, engaged consultants Counsilman-Hunsaker and Brinkley Sargent Architects to undertake an Aquatic Feasibility Study to assess the current aquatic leisure facility’s needs for both now and into the future. The study considered the demographics of the community, extensive community consultations, and the existing aquatic facilities in Cleburne and the surrounding region. The study aimed to provide the council and the community with a sound indication of how the current and future needs of the community could be met.
Based on information retained from the report, the city chose to replace the existing pool with a modern outdoor aquatic center. Completed in 2004, Splash Station showcases two bodies of water and a sprayground with the latest trend in combining leisure and lap pools, waterslides, and water toys all in one location. Amenities include:
4,574 sq. ft. Competition Pool •25-yard lap/fitness pool with eight lap lanes
7,410 sq. ft. Leisure Pool •ADA-accessible zero-beach entry •Current channel •Open flume waterslide
